How do I set up my first payroll run?
After logging in as HR Admin, go to Pay Runs → New Pay Run. Select the pay period, verify your employee roster and attendance records are imported, then click Generate. The engine computes SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and withholding tax automatically.
How does ESS account provisioning work?
Go to Accounts → Bulk Provision. The system creates login credentials for all active employees and exports a PIN CSV. Distribute the CSV to line managers; employees log in at /app/ess using their employee number and PIN.
What government contribution rates does TaoLink use?
TaoLink uses the latest published rates: SSS at 15% (EE 5% / ER 10%), PhilHealth at 5% (₱10k–₱100k MSC), and Pag-IBIG at 2%/2% (₱5k cap). Rates are updated automatically when NSSMO, PhilHealth, and HDMF circulars are released.
Can employees apply for leave through the portal?
Yes. Employees log into the ESS portal, go to Leave → Apply for Leave, select the leave type and dates, and submit. HR admins receive an email notification and can approve or reject from the Leaves page. The employee is notified by email of the decision.
How do I generate BIR 1601-C for remittance filing?
Go to Remittances → BIR 1601-C. Select the applicable month, review the withholding tax totals, and use the Print button to generate the form ready for eFPS submission.
What happens if an employee has no attendance records for a pay period?
TaoLink flags this with a visible warning on the pay run detail page listing all affected employee numbers. Full basic pay is applied as a conservative default, but HR should review and correct attendance before locking the run.
Is 2FA available for admin accounts?
Yes. SUPER_ADMIN and HR_ADMIN accounts are prompted to enroll in TOTP-based 2FA on first login. Go to Settings → Security to set up your authenticator app and generate backup codes.
How do I reach support for urgent issues?
